JPK-Certified Centre: De Mid Borneo Is Now Offering 3 New Programs Under NDTS (SLDN)

De Mid Borneo is pleased to announce that the company is now certified and registered to offer, administer and assure the quality of National Dual Training System (NDTS) or Sistem Latihan Dual National (SLDN) under Department of Skill Development or widely known as Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) of Malaysia.

The Certificate of Accreditation Company NDTS (Sijil Pentauliahan Syarikat SLDN), dated 23rd November 2009, was presented to De Mid Borneo Services, our main office in Lawas, Sarawak, just recently. We are now registered with the Company Code: SD0011 and Centre Code: PD0004 respectively.

With these certifications, our company is now qualified to register and to conduct training for students or candidates to undertake any one of the 3 various programs that have been designed according to JPK-approved outlines and syllabus.

2. INFORMATION SYSTEMS ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN
(PEMBANTU TADBIR SISTEM MAKLUMAT)

-        Organize Office Equipment & Environment

-        Maintain Filing System

-        Organize Business

-        Perform Administrative Function

-        Maintain Electronic Filing System

-         Organize Electronic Documents

-        Handle Client Complaints (Internal And External)

-        Coordinate With Other Departments

-        Carry Out Computer Operations

-        Organize Information Systems Maintenance

3. RECREATIONAL SCUBA DIVING MASTER *
(KETUA SELAM SKUBA REKREASI) *

This is the first entry level to professional-level of in recreational scuba diving. The program is divided into four parts, namely:

i)      PADI Open Water Diver course: The first level in any scuba certification

ii)     PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course: 2nd level

iii)    PADI Rescue Diver course: 3rd level

iv)    PADI Divemaster course: 4th level :- 1st Professional certification

However, candidates MUST take a 1-Day Emergency First Responder (EFR) course in between AOWC and Rescue. Candidates holding any EFR or equivalent certification in First Aid that include Primary & Secondary Care may opt to get exempted from sitting for the EFR provided the training was done within one (1) year from the start of the DMB-conducted EFR course.

To develop the previous characteristics in an individual, the PADI Divemaster course has five broad goals:

a. To develop the knowledge, attitudes, judgment and skills for supervising certified divers in shore- based and boat-based diving activities.

b. To develop the knowledge, attitudes, judgment and skills for assisting with training divers in PADI courses.

c. To develop the knowledge, attitudes, judgment and skills for independently conducting specific PADI programs for certified divers and non-divers (e.g., Scuba Review, Discover Snorkeling, PADI Skin Diver course).

d. To develop the candidate’s dive theory knowledge, water skills, rescue skills and experience to the levels necessary to enter the PADI Assistant Instructor course and the PADI Instructor Development Course and to encourage the candidate to continue into those programs.

d. To promote each candidate’s growth to meet individual needs and interests, and to meet the dive community’s needs and expectations in dive leaders (e.g., risk management, personal health and safety, the needs of the dive retailer).

*Limited space for Dive Master program: 15 candidates per batch only.
